How to Draw Miraculous Ladybug

Step 1.


Begin with two guide shapes, one for the head and another for the body. Sketch in the facial guidelines too.

Step 2.


Define the shape of Ladybug's face and add a hair chunk to the right side of the face.

Step 3.


Up next, draw the shape of the head which also happens to be the hairstyle. She wears her hair in a ponytail with some small loose pieces on the side. Also draw in the part and the indent for her hair crease.

Step 4.


You will now work on her face. Start with the shapes of her eyes then add the lashes. When that is done you can draw the mask she wears over her eyes to hide her identity.

Step 5.


Add some spots to the mask and then finish her face which is the nose, mouth and bottom lip.

Step 6.


To finish this drawing lesson, you will draw in her neck, shoulders and arms. Then draw the torso followed by the large spots on her suit. Erase the mistakes and you're done.

Step 7.


The line art for Ladybug should look like the drawing you see here. Add some color to turn her into a human ladybug.

Description: Everyday I am asked to make lessons on characters that are popular to many, or loved by a few. Someone asked me to make a tutorial on a character from a new Nickelodeon animated series called 'Miraculous Ladybug'. So that is just what I did. The girl who plays Ladybug is actually Marinette Dupain-Cheng or just Marinette. She is the main character and heroine in the series and even though she is a bit clumsy, she still manages to get the job done when called. I haven't watched the series, but it looks pretty cool. If you are a fan of Miraculous Ladybug you should enjoy this tut as well. I will be back with other tuts so stay tuned in.
