How to Draw Mai from Ghost Hunt

We can start by drawing the head and torso guides. Add the facial guidelines then proceed to step two.

We will tackle the task of sketching out the head shape which also happens to be her hairstyle. The bangs are uneven and jagged. The sides of her hair are also short and rests on her face.

Draw the shape of Mai's face like so, then sketch in the shape of her neck. You will also need to draw the shirt collar and add some detailing to the base of her neck.

Use the facial guidelines to draw in the beginning parts of her big eyes. The top lids should be thick, dark and bold. Add some lashes as well.

Finish drawing Mai's eyes by adding the eyeballs. Color in the pupils and then draw a nose and mouth.

Sketch in her shirt or kimono or whatever she is wearing, then add detailing to the collar. Erase the mistakes and you are all done.

Description: I always love when folks make requests on characters from anime/manga that I never heard of. That is the case for this lesson. It's on how to draw Mai from Ghost Hunt, step by step. She is the main character of the series and is a sixteen year old high school student. I don't know a whole lot about her background because I have never followed the series. I know that she has short brown hair and a friend't face. If you where any of the folks who requested this tut on drawing Mai, I hope you have fun with it.
