Artist: Dawn / January 15, 2012

Step 1.

The first thing you need to do is draw a round shape for the head and then sketch in the facial guides as well as the body guide.

Step 2.

Here you will use the shape you just drew to draw out the balloon shaped head and face for Les. Make sure to incorporate the ears and then some of his skinny neck.

Step 3.

Using the facial guidelines you will draw in the different shaped eyes and color in some pupils. Draw the eyebrows as well as the mouth, teeth, and tongue in a smiling manner. Color two dots for the nose and move along to step four.

Step 4.

Draw in Les' crazy style hairdo like so, and be sure to include the pints and chunks.

Step 5.

Lastly, draw Les' torso as well as the shirt, sleeves and horizontal shaped stripes. Clean up the drawing to prepare Les for color.

Step 6.

Look how awesome Les Awesome looks when you are all done. Color him in and you're all done.

Description: I have this last lesson to submit and it is going to be based on another cartoon character that has a lot of spunk, and pizzazz. Today I will show you "how to draw Les", step by step. His full name is Lester Awesome and he and his gang live every day to try to make boring stuff awesome. Les is the lead character and he is also the shortest of them all. If you have seen the series before you should be familiar with Les’ famous phrase “time to awesomize”. Even though he has the desire to bring boring, ordinary everyday stuff to life, sometimes his goals are not carried out because he is so darn lazy. This blue haired bundle of awesomeness is on the verge to bring a much more exciting lifestyle to his hometown. He is accompanied by Gnome, Lars, and Thera, which is Les’ step sister. He is going to be a pretty easy character to replicate which means you should be able to bang out this lesson on drawing Les in no time at all. Who knows, when you’re done maybe something ‘awesome’ will happen. Well that does it for me guys, have fun and enjoy the rest of your drawing day!
