How to Draw King of the Elves

1

Make a circle for the head and then draw in the facial guides like so.

2

Draw out the structure of the elf's face like you see here and make sure that you draw out the jaw line to be very chiseled. The ears are the next thing to be drawn out, and then make a small bump like line on top of the head like so.

3

This elf design has hair that looks like leaves. What you will do is draw out the hair in layers of shapes that look like cedar tree leaves. When this is done you can move to step four.

4

Draw in the long eleven ears like so, and then draw out more of the leaf shaped hair pieces. This is a very simple elf face to draw so have fun with it.

5

Using the facial guides that you drew in step one, begin drawing out the actual face. Start with the big almond shaped eyes, and then draw the nose, mouth line and then the brows. The expression on this elf's face is very sweet.

6

Draw in the eyeballs, and then color in the eyeballs or pupils. Add some wrinkle on the nose, and then sketch in a light lip line. Draw the ear detailing to make the ear have depth and definition, and then sketch in the center dimples on each leaf li

7

Draw the neck, and then add a collar or bed of leaves layered on and around the neck like so. When that is done be sure to sketch in the detailing on each leaf as well.

8

And finally, add another layer of leaves under the collar and then begin cleaning up your drawing. If there is some last minute touch ups that you would like to do before leaving this step, go right ahead.

9

Now that your drawing is all done, you can color in your newly drawn fantasy elf. I had fun drawing King of the Elves, and now that you know what Disney has in store, maybe you be on guard to keep your ears in tune to hear when it will be released.

Description: Here is a really new movie design concept from a film being made by Disney that is said to be in theaters by 2013 or 2014. There is absolutely no information on this film except it’s going to be based on a man that becomes a ruler over a mythical race of elves. The movie is still in the production process which means I’m actually taking a risk submitting this tutorial. The character in the thumbnail is not a figure that is definitely going to be figure; it’s more like a concept sketch made by artists and developers that are working on this project. Now, because the movie is based on a fantasy like world filled with elves, trolls, and other mythical creatures, it may be a film that is worth keeping an eye on. There has been no good fantasy movies that has been released in the past ten to fifteen years that is filled with goblins, trolls, fairies and elves. I mean the last cool movie I watched that actually had all the named creatures was Legend which starred Tom Cruise. This tutorial is going to show you "how to draw King of the Elves", step by step. The concept drawing is just a draft that you can find in Google images and what I did was work from the sketch I found to provide a picture to put with this lesson. I actually only wanted to upload this submission to let you guys know that Disney is working on something cool, and to keep your eyes open for more information on the film. King of the Elves sounds like it’s going to be good folks, so let’s have fun drawing the elf that Disney created. I will be back with my last lesson so stay tuned in.
