How to Draw Count Dracula

1

Start off by sketching an oval shape that will later be the head.

2

Now what you sketch next is the jaw line, eyes, and nostrils.

3

Now start sketching in more detail the eyes, nose and mouth. Also you can start to draw minor age lines.

4

The next step is to draw the ears mouth and chin.

5

I know Dracula doesn't look like much now but in a couple more steps you will see a complete change. Define the ears some more and create the neck.

6

As you can see he took a turn for the better. In this step slowly start sketching out his hair and eye brows as shown above. Draw his bow tie and lining of his jacket.

7

Color in the eyes and draw a little more of the shirt.

8

You are practically done by now the only thing left to do is sketch out his cape. At this step erase all the guide lines and sketching lines to finish off your completed sketch.

9

Here you are. Do a little shading and color in his cape black and your ready to get bitten by the most persuasive vampires in history.

Description: Muah ah ah! I want to suck your blood. Dracula started out as a novel back in 1897 by an Irish writer Bram Stoker. The novel is a story about a vampire named Count Dracula that tells his story through a series of pages from his diary. The novel got a bunch of mixed reviews that appealed to literary genres that include fictional horror and others. The women in Bram Stokers Dracula are from Victorian culture with a strong sense of sexuality, desire and lust. It is also a tale of undying love that is shared between the Count and his beloved Mina, who he believes is a reincarnation of his wife that plummeted out of their castle window as she believed that her husband was killed in battle from a war he left to fight. The book was awesome and when I seen the movie from Francis Ford Coppola, I instantly fell in love with the beast called Dracula. The tutorial image is not that of Gary Oldman, but that of Bela Lugosi. After all he was one of the first to play Dracula back in 1932. In this tutorial you will learn "how to draw Count Dracula" in eight easy steps and simple instructions. I put this tutorial under Halloween. I know Dracula is a folklore character but to me he is most celebrated on one of the most terrifying days, Halloween. I hope you like the tutorial I worked super hard on it and I think it cam out awesome. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think. I did use Bela Lugosi picture as a tool guide, which I sketched on paper first then in Photoshop. The shadowing was a little difficult but I got through it okay. You can also try this tutorial on how to draw a cartoon vampire. Peace out and have fun with the tutorials people!
