How to Draw a Pilgrim

Step 1.


Start this step with a medium circle for the head and add the facial guidelines and hat lines. From the perfect circle shape you will then add the body and limb guidelines as shown for the legs, arms, and shoulders.

In this next step you will first draw a slightly curved long line for the lid of the pilgrim hat. Then you will next draw the arched lines for the shape of the eyes as well as a long dash for the pilgrim boy's mouth. Shape out the lower portion of th   

Step 3.


Now as you can see your pilgrim is starting to take form. You will next draw the top of the pilgrim hat and then the rim of the hat. Next cap off the eye lines and then turn that closed smile into an open mouth smile. You will then draw the collar an   

Step 4.


Now here in this step you will draw the box shape in the middle of his hat for the buckle. then give the pilgrim boy some eyes and a cute little button nose as well as a tongue. Make a collar line in the shirt and then the sleeves. You will then draw   

Step 5.


This is your last drawing step and all you will do is detail the buckle by drawing another square inside the shape you drew in the previous step. Then draw him some eye brows and pupils that you will need to color in. Draw some small lines for the fi

Description: Hello all and welcome back to DragoArt and welcome back to another fun filled tutorial for the day, (well actually a few new tutorials for the day). Today I am going to start this first tutorial off by staying in the Thanksgiving theme one last time. I already showed you how to draw a turkey and a cornucopia, so this tutorial will be on how to draw a pilgrim. This particular pilgrim I decided to draw is a bit cartoonish because I wanted everyone to be able to tackle this tutorial with ease. In order for you guys to do that, I drew a little boy pilgrim. What is a pilgrim exactly? Well, Pilgrims were English Separatists or the early settlers of the Plymouth Colony in Plymouth, Massachusetts. These people settled and established in 1620 and they became the second successful English settlement in what was to become the United States of America. These puritans came to Plymouth Rock by ship and the ships name was the Mayflower. I can remember taking a field trip when I was in like the first grade to Plymouth Rock and there was an apple orchard and a huge pumpkin patch. It was wicked fun when I went there and I learned a few things as well. This is a cute tutorial of a pilgrim boy that I thought would be a smiple image to get you started. You will learn how to draw a pilgrim step by step with detailed instructions.
