How to Draw a Nutcracker

Step 1.


Let's start this first step by drawing out the guidelines and shapes top form a frame for this wooden solider. Start with a circle for the head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then add the shoulder lines as well as the arms, legs and wai   

Step 2.


In this second step you will start sketching out the shape of his wooden body such as the arms, torso and legs. Next draw the crazy looking hair on the sides of his head and then add a curled separated mustache and two eye lines.

Step 3.


Step three already? Wow you move fast! What you will do next is draw out the shaping of the jaw which is the cracker part of this wooden statue. Next add a belt and finish drawing out the detailing style of the legs and add the feet. You will then dr   

Step 4.


You are coming closer to the end my friends. What I want you to draw out next is the shape of his hat and then his thick eyebrows which you will need to color in. Add more defining lines to the mouth and then the arms. Cap off the feet and finish dra   

Step 5.


This is your last drawing step and you know what they say, save the best for last. This is where you will be adding all the detailing shapes to finish off this character. Add two small rounded eyes with pupils, four buttons on each side of his coat,    

Step 6.


Once finished and your nutcracker is cleaned up, you will have a drawing that looks like this. All you have to do now is color him in and whala! You have just learned how to draw a nutcracker step by step.

Description: A nutcracker? How did you figure for me to do a tutorial on a nutcracker? I was searching around Google one day and came across a forum. The forum had a post that asked for a tutorial on how to draw a nutcracker step by step from some Barbie movie. I looked it up and found that it was a movie, and it was called Barbie and the Nutcracker. I’m not sure that the story line is the same as the original nutcracker story that is played on stage, but I’m sure the same premise is alike. To tell you the truth, I don’t even know what the nutcracker is about. All I know is that he was turned into a nutcracker by some rat king. Once again, I’m not sure that it’s an accurate story line. Today we will learn how to draw a nutcracker step by step. This was an easy tutorial for me to finish yesterday because the character is still standing, all lines and squares. Today I will be submitting it even though Christmas is like nine months away. I’m not sure that all of you are interested in a tutorial based on the nutcracker, but for those of you that are, this one is for you. There are many designs that the nutcracker can have. I chose a Christmas style color scheme for the nutcracker’s clothes. This was lots of fun to design, especially the colors. Drawing this nutcracker will be a breeze for you to draw. The tutorial has step by step instructions that will be easy to follow.
