How to Draw a Caduceus

Okay you will first draw a long vertical line for the staff and then draw out the shapes of the wings.

You will now thicken the shape of the staff and then begin drawing out the cartilage for the wings as seen here. Once that is done you can move onto the next drawing step.

Now that you have reached step three your caduceus will start looking more like it's original self. You will draw out more feather shapes and then draw out the curled lining for the first snake.

You will now draw out the round shape of the knob on top of the staff and then finish sketching out the feathers wings. Once that is complete you can then draw out the rest of the snakes bodies as you see them drawn out for you here. Erase all the gu

Description: Symbols can sometimes speak for themselves and sometimes others can’t. There is an interesting symbol that is used in the medical field, and for some reason this symbol looks like it should mean something else. I am talking about the caduceus. The caduceus is made up of a combination of four things, a staff, two snakes, and a pair of wings. Did you ever wonder what these objects represent? The staff is that of heralds short staff and the snakes are intertwined to make a helix, and at the top their faces meet. At the very top of the staff there is a set of wings which is supposed to give the illusion of being uplifted. Years later the caduceus started representing the astrological symbol for the# planet Mercury. In the year 1902 when the military started using the caduceus for the symbol of their medical units, bags, trucks, and shoulder bands. The symbol is quite nice and attractive if you ask me, and you can tell that such an image comes from a European background. This tutorial will show you "how to draw a caduceus" step by step. All the steps are easy to follow and the instructions are simple to read. I shall return with a lot more tutorials for you all today because yesterday I failed to upload the five I was supposed to.
