Drawing a Brain for Kids

The first thing to do is to make the guide shape for the brain you are drawing.

Using the guide you just made, begin to draw the bumpy outline of the brain. When you do this, be sure the lining is uneven. Add a sectioned off piece of brain to the left. This is where the brain stem will be under.

Now we will draw in all the different squiggle lines that makes up the shape and structure of the brain. All the tissue on the surface which is exposed is actually called the cerebral cortex.

Finish up the brain by adding more squiggly lines which will also form the tubes. Then draw the cerebellum which is that ball mass under the brain. Erase the visible guides and you're done here.

That's it. Here is the line art. Color in the human brain and show folks what you've just created.
