How to Draw Odin
1
Odin is a very powerful looking God and or man so when you draw out his framing you will need to make sure that it is very broad and bold. To start, make a circle for the head, and then draw out the outline of his long beard. You will then need to dr

Here in step two, you will begin sketching out the actual outline of Odin's body structure. Start with the shoulders and arms, and then work your way down to the torso, hips, and legs. Notice that the arms and legs look very beefy and strong. Odin is

Let's see, what I want you to do now is finish drawing out the left hand, and begin sketching out the right arm and hand until completed. Once that is taken care of the next step is to finish sketching out the legs which are covered by knee high viki

Before you go any further with drawing, I would like you to start erasing the lines and shapes that you drew in step one so you can start adding character detailing to his stature. Finish sketching out his face and be sure to add all the definition.

The last thing you need to do to Odin is going to be very simple. First things first though. You will need to add engraving detailing to the torch, and then when that is done you can sketch out his large flared cape like you see here. Define the cape

Description: From the five characters I will be uploading today three of them will be characters from the Marvel Comics universe with the first being Mystique. Up next is a tutorial on a character that is going to be portrayed by the very talented Anthony Hopkins. The movie is said to be released in 2011 sometime, and it is going to be about Thor, and that is also the name of the movie. Today I am going to show you "how to draw Odin", step by step, and for those of you that don't know, he is supposed to be a good guy in the flick. Odin is the father of Thor, and he is also a mythical being as well with some folklore. Now I don't know much about this great powerful viking like God, but I did find information on the basics of his existence. First off, he was born to Bor who is the first Asgardian. He also has two brothers named Vili and Ve, and as you know a son. Odin's father is responsible for the capture of Surtur who is a demon being that ruled Muspelheim. Once he was done battling the demon, he later turned his throne over to his son Odin. Once Odin was the new ruler of Asgard, he fell in love with Elder Goddess Gaea, and together they had a son Thor. Once his son was born, they realized that he was a powerful warrior but was corrupted with greed and arrogance. Odin was displeased with his son so in efforts to restore the nobility in his only son, he erased all of Thor's memories in hopes that he would return back into the mighty warrior he once was and have the mindset of a great ruler that uses his head instead of being selfish. I had an awesome time drawing out this very colorful character from Marvel Universe. If you are a fan of the Thor comics, you too will have fun learning "how to draw Odin", step by step. Be sure to keep your eyeballs out for the release of the movie “Thor” when it comes out in 2011. That is all for this description, have fun with the lesson and be sure to stick around for more drawing fun!
