Description: Insects come in many different sizes, shapes, colors, and varieties. When I say that, I mean it literally. There is butterflies that come in sizes from a very tiny eighth of an inch, to a very large twelve inch butterfly. The most common colors that butterflies come in is red, green and yellow. Of course there is other colors associated with butterflies like purple, blue, black, brown, and even white. Did you now that when in flight, every butterfly flies at a top speed of twelve miles per hour? Yup, that is true. It’s also true that some species of moths can fly twenty five miles per hour. Now, if a caterpillar turns into a butterfly, and caterpillars only live in their current stage for a short period of time, how long is a butterfly’s lifespan? Well the answer to that question is complicated because a butterfly’s lifespan depends on a number of factors like; the size of the butterfly, where they live, the species, at what part of the year a butterfly matures, and many other factors. A very cool thing about butterflies is that they can not fly the skies if their body temperature is lower than eighty six degrees. Drawing butterflies is always fun because you can be really creative and use any shade you like when coloring in your butterflies.
