The first thing we need to do is draw out the end part for the horn followed by the arch of the horn's body. You will then draw the part at the very tip which is where the mouth will go.

2

All you have to do here is sketch out the actual shape for the end part of the horn. It looks a lot like the guide you just made, just tweak the sides a bit.

3

We will now begin sketching out the detail and design on the horn. You can choose to make any type of pattern if you like, I personally think the one I made is simple and easy to follow.

4

Draw the actual bone part of the horn like so, and make sure that the lining is straight and bold. Add a nice swirl like design, then proceed on.

5

Here we will draw out the actual body for the horn like so, then add the band or metal band that is wrapped near the mouth piece. Add some nice bone detailing too.

6

Lastly, sketch in all the imperfections on the horn like so, then draw the band on the horn which is used to strap round the wrist while you blow or drink from. Erase your mistakes then you're done.

7

Here is what the line art looks like now that you are finished. Color in the horn any way you like.

Description: Hello folks, I'm back with another tutorial that will be enjoyed by many folks that like concept art on some pretty cool objects. Today I will be showing you "how to draw a horn", step by step. The horn that I made looks very rustic. It's supposed to be a viking style horn. These horns are also called blow or blowing horns. They are made of bone, wood and even metal. In fact some of the early horns where mainly made from metal. These design concepts where also used to make drinking horns as well. At the pointed end of the horn a hole would be carved and buffered. This part of the horn is what touches the lips either to drink from it, or blow out of it. I really like the design that I created because it reminds me of something out of The Last Airbender. I hope you enjoy drawing a horn. I will be back with more fun for you all so stay tuned in.
