How to Draw The Comedian from the Watchmen
1
First, draw some very simple lines, for the head, neck, arms and body. Each of these steps are going to be more intense than usual, so be ready to draw a lot.
2
Now draw in his left arm; the shoulder is fairly simple, as is the elbow pad, but where I went wrong first was his hand (drawing a hand holding a gun still gets me a little stuck sometimes, so be careful not to make the same mistake). If you get stuc

Still going? Good. Continue down the left side of his body (his right side technically). Draw in the straps, finishing the shoulder, and the majority of his belt. Also do his leg and crotch, as these are fairly easy and you may as well get them out t

Now, there is a lot going on here, and my apologies for not making it 2 steps. You have to draw in his body armor. Do some rough outlines before drawing in all the vertical lines, as this will help a lot!! Aside from the body, you need to finish his

Description: The Watchmen is probably the best graphic novel ever made, written by the genius Alan Moore it presents an alternate reality (where Nixon has been re-elected a third time?!) The Watchmen themselves are unique and quite bizarre, and The Comedian is the most awe inspiring character, a man full of darkness, strength and mystery. He sees the world in black and white (like his fellow Watchmen 'Rorschach') and always seems to smile, even at the bad things in life. This tutorial will show you how to draw The Comedian from the 2009 film, so as always good luck and be happy.
