How to Draw Style

Start with drawing a round shape for the head, and then draw out the U shaped torso like you see here. Lastly, add the guidelines for the face, arms, and legs.

Draw in the structure of the lower part of the face, and then draw in her knit hat which is very form fitting on her head.

Now it's time to sketch in her eyes, nose, and full set of lips. When that is done draw the ears, and her big hoop earrings.

Draw a rim around the knit hat, and then add some detailing stitch lines with a button on the top of the head.

Sketch out her neck, and then the torso. Be sure to draw in the shapes of her breasts. Draw in her vest, and then begin drawing out the arms and hands like so.

Finish her hands and then sketch out her long curly hair like you see here. Make the halter line for her top and be sure to add some cleavage. Detail her top a bit, and then move to step six.

Sketch out the hips, thighs, and lower parts of her legs. Be sure to draw the pants to flare at the ends. Add some curve detailing to her legs and pants.

Last step guys, draw in her belly button, and then sketch out the belt, pockets, and sneakers. Once that is done you can add some definition to her pants by drawing a seam line. Erase the shapes and guides you drew in step one.

Look how awesome she looks when you are done. Color her in to your liking, and now you have a finished drawing of some awesome style.

Description: I know the heading for this tutorial sounds and looks a little strange, but I was asked to make a lesson on how to draw a girl dressed up in hip hop style clothing, and the member also asked to make sure that she was a female African American. So here it is, the finished result on "how to draw style", step by step. There are all sorts of styles out there but this style is by far one of the more popular out and about today. I had so much fun with this sketch, and I really like how she came out. Of course when you tackle this lesson you can tweak the style any which way you like. I will come back to this tutorials description a little bit later, for now I just wanted you guys to get the chance to tackle how to draw style before it gets too late in the day.
