How to Draw a Seal
1
Let's start. Make a small round shape for the head, and then add the facial guidelines. You will then draw a long connecting line that goes from the head, all the way down to the length of the seal's body. Once this is drawn, you can then draw the eg

Begin drawing out the outline of the entire seals body like so beginning with the head. Once this is done draw the lining for the mouth, and nose. Sketch out the split tail or back flippers too and make sure the seal has a nicely formed chest. Did yo

Now you will start drawing out the front flippers. Now, seals have claws at the tips of their front flippers, but I opted to not include those. Add some detailing lines, then move to the next step.

This is your last drawing step. Just draw the belly of the seal, and the rest of teh back flippers. Now add a line to add the separation of the snout, and face like so, and color in the eyes. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Description: As part of of my animal infatuation, I am about to submit a tutorial on an animal that I already have a lesson on. Today, I will follow the duplicate series, and teach you guys "how to draw a seal" in a much more simpler form. The very first seal I drew for Dragoart isn’t what you call something of perfection, and to be honest with you I wasn’t going for a perfect look. When I started this site, I really only had so much experience with drawing. I mean, don’t get me wrong I knew how to draw, but my capabilities where limited. Back then it used to take me a long time to get a drawing done because it had to be done right, and it also had to be drawn to resemble whatever I was replicating. For instance, the seal that I drew back in 2008 was cute, and it was cuddly, and looking back at it today is almost amazing to me because nowadays, I can draw so much better then before. The whole trick to drawing is first believing in yourself, and the second trick to drawing is constantly taking your time, and always trying to draw new things. Never give up when you truly want to be an artist. I know I will never be the type of artist that has pictures or paintings on the walls in peoples homes, or in museums. All I truly want, is to be the type of artist that helps others how to draw. Maybe one day my character drawings can appear in a self made comic, or something of that fashion. No matter what, I love drawing, and art is a big part to my whole being. Anyways, this tutorial is about drawing a seal, and if you like sea animals, this should be one heck of a fun lesson to follow. I will be back soon with some more cool stuff to draw so try and stay tuned in to see what else I have up my artistic sleeve. Peace peeps.
