How to Draw a Monkey for Kids
1
Okay, like my videos always say, start the lesson by drawing out the basic guidelines and shapes to form a workable frame for your monkey. Begin by drawing a circle for the head, and then make another shape for the monkey's body like so. When that is
2
Use the shape you drew in step one to sketch out the actual shape of the monkey's head. Since you are drawing this animal from the side, the face profile will be less complicated to replicate. Included in the head lining you will need to draw the pie
3
Here you will start drawing out the facial features to start making this drawing look like a monkey. Start with an eye in the shape of an egg, and then color it in. Draw out the perfectly shaped ear, and then add the marking lining for the face, nose
4
Begin drawing out the body starting with the back arch, butt bump, and some of the hind leg. Next, draw out the front arm and be sure to draw in a curl for the hand, and then draw out the chest or belly like so.
5
You're almost done everyone. All you need to do here is finish drawing out the arms, and be sure to draw in the thumb, and hands.
6
This is it, the last drawing step. Now what you need to do is draw out the back legs and feet, and then make sure to add those lines for the toes.
7
Start erasing the lines and shapes that you drew in step one so you can prepare your monkey for last minute detailing. Draw the lining for the arms and ankles like so, and then draw in the monkey's tail.
