Use mechanical pencil or 2H or HB pencil for basic outline

Use charcoal,8B or even you can use 10B for darker shades like eyebrows,eyes,beards,moustache or hair.....or face you can use 4B or 6B & you can use paper stumps for beginners they can use ear buds for blending

In final step make each & every shade more darker than initially step to gain more realistic sketch....for very lighter shades you can use....HB or 2H pencils.....for lighter shades you can use....4B or 6B pencils....for darker & darkest areas you ca
