Let's start this tutorial by making the bowl that will be holding out noodles. Draw a wide bowl shape if you want a more "Asian" feel, or go with a bowl style that you have in your house. This bowl shape looks a lot like a row boat.

2

Next, draw in the base of the bowl like so, and then move along to step three.

3

Begin filling your bowl with hot chunks of noodles. The easiest way to do this is to just simply make strand chunks that resembles hair. A lot of wavy lining is involved.

4

Continue to draw in your noodles like so, and when your bowl is full, add some detailing to make the noodles look like individual chunk pieces.

5

Add more detailing to your noodles by sketching in more lines for more definition of this dish.

6

Lastly, draw the chopsticks which are sticking straight into the noodles down to the bottom of the bowl. Since there is a lot of noodles, the chopsticks stand straight up. Clean up the mistakes, and you can also add a design on the bowl if you like.

7

Here is your bowl of noodles when you are all done. I hope this was one of those tutorials that you had a lot of fun with, because I know it was definitely fun for me to create it. It's one of those "feel good" lessons :-).

Description: I had so much fun with this lesson because it is based on one my favorite foods in the entire world. How many of you out there just LOVE noodles? If you're like me and your a fanatic about noodles, you will definitely love this Asian inspired lesson on "how to draw noodles", step by step. I simply can not believe that I have never made a tutorial on a bowl of noodles with a pair of chopsticks before. At first I didn't know if I should make stringy noodles, or a bowl that looked full. I tried both concepts and from the image you can guess which one I chose. I was going to make the noodles stringy, but that concept came out looking like spaghetti. I like the way that this delectable, delicious, tasty, universal food came out. I love anything that has to do with Asian cuisine, although I must admit that I haven't tried 'everything' yet, so I may come across some dishes that I'm not to fond of. Until that day comes, I will enjoy my solitude eating a bowl of hot noodles. Have fun with your drawing guys and be sure to let me know if you are a noodle lover too!
