How to Draw Dragon Pinkie Pie

Step 1.


Begin with a circle for the head and then draw the neck and body. The body is an egg shape so be sure to sketch the shape in correctly. Add the limb lines and tail guide then add a neck to connect the head to the body.

Step 2.


Here you will draw the shape of the head and face on a profile view or angle like so. As you can see the horn and frills are fish like. Add the small snout and open mouth.

Step 3.


Use the facial guidelines to draw out the eye shapes, then color in the pupils. You will add some lashes and then detail the inside of the ears. Draw the teeth, then add the tongue.

Step 4.


Here you will draw in Pinkie Pie's signature hairstyle which is bouncy and full of curls. Add detailing then you are done here.

Step 5.


Continue to draw out the body which is the back part of the neck as well as the stomach. When that is done you can draw the front legs which should be thick and the talons or feet should be bulky as well. Lastly, draw the small wings, then proceed to   

Step 6.


Draw the back end of the body, then draw in the long thin tail which has a speared point at the tip.

Step 7.


Lastly, draw the back legs and feet like so, then add the cutie mark on Pinkie Pie's hip. Erase those mistakes like so, then you are done.

Step 8.


The line art comes out looking like the drawing you see here. Now you can have fun with coloring in your drawing. I hope you liked this lesson on a dragon version of Pinkie Pie.

Description: I see that the dragon version of Rarity is in the top 50 which is pretty cool because that means people liked the lesson. Today I will show you "how to draw dragon Pinkie Pie", step by step. I tried to take it up a notch with Pinkie Pie because she is just so adorable. I wanted her to have a small set of dragon teeth as well as a little slithering tongue. The hair is the perfect touch because it adds character and spunk to this already awesome MLP character in dragon form. The legs and talons are going to be easy to replicate because they are rather large. I had a lot of fun with creating this concept, and I know you will too. So go ahead and have fun drawing dragon Pinkie Pie, you'll be glad you did.
