Make two guide shapes, one for the head and the other for the torso. You will then sketch in the facial guidelines then draw the one vertical guide for the torso. Add the neck and arm lining as well.

Next up, sketch out the shape of her face structure like so, then sketch in the bangs which are shifted to the left like so. Some of her hair falls on the side of her face.

Next, draw in the shapes of the eyes then make the upper eyelids lines thick so her eyes stand out. Draw a nose and mouth too and the eyebrows.

You are almost done with this Japanese anime girl. All you have to do now is draw the shape of her neck, then draw in her kimono. As you can see she is a very thin, frail looking girl. Add the sash around her waist, then add detailing to her clothing

For the last step all you have to do is draw in the parasol that she is holding. The umbrella or parasol is fully open and crowns her entire head. Detail the parasol and erase all of the mistakes you have made.

I have been wanting to make a lesson like this for a long while but I never got around to it because I had other work to do like fill requests, and work on Dragoart's look. I love how the small petals from the Sakura tree fall in front of this lovely looking girl. The Japanese style parasol decorates the background by adding depth, color and balance.
