How to Draw a Giraffe Head

Start off by making the shape of a rock. Sketch in one facial guideline as well.

Next, sketch out the horns, then draw the shape of the forehead and snout.

Draw the jaw structure like so, then add the bottom lip. When that is done you will draw the giraffe's ears, then add detailing to the top of the head.

Begin sketching out the eyes which bulge out of the face. When that is done add the lashes, and then sketch in all the detailing and definition to the face like bone structure and ear definition. Don't forget to draw and color in a nostril.

Here you will draw the shape of the neck, then draw the hair that flows down the giraffes neck on the back side. Add detailing to the neck as well. Don't forget to detail the hair. Erase the mistakes then you are done.

Here is what your giraffe head looks like when you are finished. Now you can color in the animal to your liking.

Description: I'm just going for the gusto as I submit my next lesson. Once this animal tut is uploaded there is one more that I will submit but it's based on a fantasy creature in anime form. Having said that, let's proceed on with learning "how to draw a giraffe head". The giraffe is a beautiful looking animal even though it's odd in appearance. The long neck, small body and long legs don't really add up when looking at the giraffe as a whole, but when you view this animal with just the head in view, it makes sense. Anyways, have fun drawing a giraffe head and be sure to keep the requests and suggestions rolling in.
