Snake Girl Drawing Lesson

Step 1.


Like always, begin with the guide for the head/face of the girl and snake and then draw in the neck guidelines.

Step 2.


We will only draw in the profile of the girl's face so start with the forehead and then draw the nose, lips, chin and jaw line.

Step 3.


Up next, draw and color in the thick, but nicely shaped eyebrow. When that is done draw her wide shaped eye which is barely open. Add the nostril flare and nasal hole. Lastly, draw in her lips.

Step 4.


The face is done for the most part. All you have to do to it is add the semi thick line under the eye. When that is done you can draw in her long straight hair or some of it at least.

Step 5.


The side hair piece that you see resting on her face is actually the tip of the snakes tail, but since she is a snake girl, she has the ability to camouflage her snake to blend in with the hair or skin color and in this case it's hair.

Step 6.


Now we will draw in the head of the snake and again, it's the profile of the snake head and face. Add the eye, texture detailing and nasal hole.

Step 7.


All you need to do here is draw in the fangs and then the slithering tongue.

Step 8.


Complete the hairstyle which is also the shape of her head. She has long straight hair and after that, draw in some of the snakes body.

Step 9.


Sketch in the neck and the coiled snake body around the base of her neck like so.

Step 10.


Lastly, draw the tuft of skin from the neck and then add detailing to the snake's body. Erase the mistakes and you are done.

Step 11.


Here is the line art. Color in your snake girl before showing off your work to the world.

Description: This lesson is going to be on a concept that I thought about for a while. I wanted to combine two things that I love to draw and that is faces and snakes. I like to draw girl faces because it helps me to improve on drawing people. As for the snakes, well, let's just say I have always been a huge snake lover. At one point in my life I was the proud owner of two ball pythons. So having said all that, here is a lesson that will show you how to draw a snake girl, step by step. The snake and girl are one, but in the picture it looks as though the snake is just coiled around her neck. For the most part this is true, but as you can see there is a tuft of hair coming up from the coiled snake's body and this is actually attached to the girl. The concept is a bit different and weird, but in all reality it still fits the concept of drawing a snake girl. Have fun, incorporate your own little tweaks if you like and when you're done, don't forget to upload your art.
