How to Draw the Welsh Dragon
1
Draw out the lines as they are here; you can already see where the head, body, wings, tail, and arms/legs are going to be now.
2
Following what I've done, draw out the head and front arm/legs properly. There isn't much detail on this dragon, and at first it doesn't look right - but that's because the Welsh Dragon was based on medieval drawings, and so looks kinda strange.
3
Now draw in the neck and body, going into the tail. Also draw in a bit of the wing. Notice how the scales aren't very sharp; quite rounded actually.
4
Finish the wings, the back arm/legs and the bottom of its body, (more scales :D). Only 4 steps you ask? Yeah...simple, huh?

Description: For the Welsh people, the red dragon they are so fiercely proud of symbolizes their victory over the Saxons, many centuries ago. Today, it is a widely recognized symbol in the UK, and as it is a dragon; and this is dragoart.com; I thought it would be rather nice if there was a tutorial on it. It's not the most impressive dragon on this site, nor the most popular but it deserves its place amongst the others. Tell me if you like it or not, and what can be done to make it better :D
