How to Draw a Cool Dragon
1
You will first need to draw the guidelines and shapes that you will need to make a frame for your cool dragon. Draw a circle for the head shape and then draw the shape of the snout. Next draw a long curled neck and attach it to another circle shape f
2
For step two you will start sketching out the facial structure of the cool dragon. Start by sketching out the muzzle or nose of the dragon and make sure you add those spikes near the tip of the nose. Next sketch out the horns you see here which resem
3
Finish sketching in the horns and then start sketching out the shape and thickness of the dragons neck. Draw individual vertical lines on the neck to add detail and definition, and then draw the first shape of the elongated ear tip as you see here.
4
Sketch out the chest and when doing so you have to include the spikes that protrude out of the chest. When the chest and torso is done you can then start sketching out the arms and talons of the dragon. Take your time and be sure to add detail and de
5
You will start this step by starting the sketched lines for the wing. Again, take your time and make sure you convey through your pencil how lean and powerful this animal is bu showing off the muscles. When the first step of the wing is done you can
6
Finish sketching out the wing as you see here and be sure to sketch in the proper detailing and definition. You want to make this dragon look as real as possible.
7
You will start sketching the folds, creases, and wrinkles to the dragons enormous wing. When that is done you can start sketching out the shape and thickness of the tail as well.
8
All you have to do here is sketch out every single scale you see and yes it will take a while if you do it right. Before you start adding the scales though, you must erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Description: Flying dragons, standing dragons, dead dragons, dragon feet, dragon heads, any kind of dragon or dragon body part is awesome to draw. But what is really wicked, is learning "how to draw a cool dragon step by step". I have so many different types of dragons already submitted and since I haven’t drawn or submitted on in a while I figured it was about time to do so. The dragon I drew is big, bold, and aggressive, and you can see how I conveyed everything through the design of this big beast. I colored the dragon in using a forest green because the typical colors for dragons are green, red, black, and even sometimes white. This particular dragon is in flight and as you can see he is high above the mountain tops looking for his next kill. I decided that this dragon is from the forest, and forest dragons are considered to be rouges or loners because they seclude themselves deep beyond the forest trees. You will not see a forest dragon unless you were hunting for them, or if food was scarce and they were forced to hunt humans. Although these dragons do not fancy the meat from humans, if they are being attacked or if they feel threatened by them, these dragons will have no choice but to defend themselves the only way they know how to which is attacking back and being swallowed whole. The total draw time for this beast was three days. That is mainly because I kept coming back and forth to complete what you see in front of you now. One of the time consuming aspects about sketching out a dragon is individually drawing out the scales. I think you guys will have fun with this tutorial because you will learn “how to draw a cool dragon” step by step. All you need to do is take your time and follow the directions and steps the way you see them laid out for you. I will return later with more drawing fun so stay tuned in for more lessons coming your way. Peace out folks!
