How to Draw Mugetsu, Mugetsu Ichigo, Bleach

1

Let's begin by first sketching the basic guideliens for our figure of Ichigo. I'd like to sketch with a wire frame rather than blocking in a whole bunch of body shapes you won't be needing anyways. Besides, drawing JUST the body shapes would consume

Then, we'll block in the face shape for Ichigo. Note that his face shape is squared at the cheeks and his chin is also square. This is a notable feature of Bleach's styled characters. Frame the top of the head by adding the hairline.

3

Go ahead and sketch LIGHTLY and thin line detailing for the facials and the wrappings that cover most of his lower face. He has a ninja-like appearance in this form, all stealthy and black.

Now, the hard part! I know drawing the face little by little was easy, now it's time to sketch the left arm all in one shot. Tips for advice would be to draw the curves and curls as dynamic as possible; meaning to have them twist in diverse curves ra

Now that the hardest part is done, you can get started on the torso or upper body. Start with sketching out the shape of the neck which is on the right side. With the very same lining make the shoulder, and the length of his arm. Notice how he has so

Let us work on getting Mugetsu's hair drawn out. As you can see he is sporting a long straight style, and it is swaying in the breeze. Finish sketching out his head with the hair, and then draw the outline of the entire flowing style. There is a gap

Next thing you have to do is draw the cloak like cloth that covers the whole lower half of his body. The top or waist line should be serrated almost, and the sides should have a pattern of wave. Sketch in the wrinkles on the cloth covering and then m

This step may be a bit time consuming because you have to draw the pieces of bandages that covers his upper body or torso. Please take your time as you tackle this step because it is going to take some patience. Draw the detailing down the arm and th

Okay guys, to finish off this tutorial all you have to do is draw in the flames that circles Mugetsu like a towering inferno. This will also be time consuming because there is pieces of flame that needs to be drawn in various places. when you are don

After further work on your drawing, with inking, and line cleanup, you should have something similar to this. Notice how I used thin lines for precise detailing rather than having them all thick in every area. This is a very important detail in manga

Description: I'm going to be honest here, I haven't been keeping up on my weekly Bleach episodes and haven't been for almost 2 years. Bleach has bored me right after the Arrancar arc, and honestly, there was just too much illogical nonsense caked onto more nonsense. Ok, so recently, I've gotten a request to draw the Mugetsu Ichigo form in which I believe he battles against Aizen with. There is so many transformations, it morphs into confusion. Unlike Dragonball Z, you actually remember the Super Saiyan forms as they are labeled simply by numbers upgraded from the last. Anyways, I had fun experimenting with the style of flames that cower around tranformed Ichigo. Make sure you get yourself plenty of extra papers and lead in order to ready for the many mistakes you'll encounter. I hope this tutorial will treat all you raving Bleach fans. I had lots of fun with the colors and effects on this one! Remember, if there is a Bleach character that you would like to see as a tutorial because I don't have it, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks so much for viewing and stay tuned for more lessons based off your requests! The Dawnie Darko is out.
