How to Draw Maleficent From Sleeping Beauty

Begin this lesson by sketching out the head guide and the shape of the shoulders. Sketch in the facial guidelines then proceed to step two.

Using the guide you just made, draw out the shape or structure of Maleficent's face and head. The horns should also be added since this is the shape of her headdress.

Here is where you will draw the outline of the face which the headdress frames out. Add the stripes on each horn, then move to step four.

Draw in the high arched eyebrows next, then sketch in the small shape of her nose.

You will then draw Maleficent's eyes. Even though this character is evil, I think she is a pretty figure.Once the eyes are drawn out you can draw the lips and add the dot for her nostril.

We will tackle drawing the long shape of her neck, and the high stiff collar from her cloak that she forever wears.

Draw the shape of the collar in better detail, then draw the shoulders and the rest of the detailing that completes this character's form. Erase your mistakes too.

Here is the line art for Maleficent. Now you can color her in. Even though my colored image is a hue of purple, she is wearing a black and purple cloak.

Description: The lesson you see before you is was done because in 2014 Angelina Jolie will be acting in the famous Disney tale of an evil sorceress from Sleeping Beauty. Today you will be learning "how to draw Maleficent", step by step. There is so many new movies coming out next year and a lot of them are pretty stupid. I have yet to see what the trailer looks like for Maleficent which is who Angelina Jolie is playing. For the movie pic that Disney released she looks to resemble the evil Sorceress with the headdress that she wears and with the color of the yellow eyes. I don't know what to expect, but I am going to be optimistic. Anyways, have fun drawing Maleficent people and I will prepare the next tutorial.
