How to Draw Sleeping Beauty

Step 1.


You will start this first easy step by drawing out the guidelines and shapes to form a mannequin frame for your Disney Princess. Start with an oblong shape for her head and then add the facial guidelines. Next draw out the shapely torso and the the l   

Step 2.


In this next step you will add the curled lining for her bangs and then the shape for her forehead and nose. Once that is done you will draw out the shape for her almond shaped eye and then the receding collar of her dress. Add some shape to her arm    

Step 3.


So far this tutorial is pretty simple right? What you will do next is draw out more lining for her long golden hair and then add the strand lines. Shape up the collar of her dress and then the bottom of her gown. Add some detail around the waist and    

Step 4.


Well guess what you did? Yup, you made it to your last drawing step and what you will do now is give her some beautiful eyes and then a set of plump lips. Finish her hair style and add a crown, Then sketch in some detail to her upper chest near her n   

Step 5.


Now once you are done your Princess should come out looking like this. All you have to do now is color her in. You have just learned how to draw Sleeping Beauty, Princess Aurora step by step. I hope you had a blast and stay tuned for other wonderful

Description: Hello everyone and welcome back to another fun filled drawing tutorial here on DragoArt.com. I am very happy today because it is Friday and because of that I have more time to draw and create. With my first lesson I will be showing you "how to draw Sleeping Beauty" from the very bright and lovely Disney movie. The reason why I chose to do this tutorial is because I already have so many tutorials on how to draw the Disney Princesses and I'm only missing a few. Sleeping Beauty is one of my favorite movies from Disney because it is so memorable and sweet. The funny thing is I haven’t seen the movie to many times which is kind of odd because I am a big Disney movie buff. Now Princess Aurora is the daughter of King Stefan and Queen Stephani, and from birth, her hand was already spoken for to marry Prince Phillip the son of King Hubert. When she was born she was blessed with three gifts from the three good fairies named Flora who wears the red dress, Fauna who wears the green dress, and Merryweather is the fairy in the blue dress. Aurora is blessed with the first gift which is that of beauty to represent the golden color of her hair. The next gift is that of song from good fairy Fauna. Now right before her third gift is given to her, the evil dark fairy Maleficent is upset that she was not invited to the christening ceremony and because of that she curses the small infant with death at the prick of a sewing wheel needle. Fortunately, Merryweather did not give the infant princess her gift yet which enabled her to bestow the gift of sleep instead of death. As the curse was placed, Princess Aurora would die at the age of sixteen after she pricks her finger on a needle from a sewing wheel. Instead of death Merryweather gives her sleep until the kiss of true love awakes her from her slumber. I’m sure many of you have already seen the movie and because of that I don’t think I need to lay out the whole story line. I will just say in the end the Princess marries her Prince and they live happily ever after. This tutorial will show you "how to draw Princess Aurora", step by step. I know you females out there will love this lesson because she is so pretty and sweet looking. I will be back with more drawing fun so stay tuned fellow artist there is more on the way.
