Step 1.

Now what you will be doing is coloring in the heartagram. At this point of you intend to add color tou your drawing then you might want to do it now. If you want to color your heartagram pink, or blue, or even black now is the time to do it. After th

In this last step you will finish off the letters the way they are shown to you. Now you can erase all the guidelines that you drew in step 1. Mainly these guidelines were for in fact the letters themselves.

Description: This tutorial today is going to be on a band that I don’t think to many “regular” people know about. You will learn how to draw the letters for the band Him including there Heartagram they use as a logo. This band formed in 1991 in a country called Finland by lead vocalist Ville Valo, guitarist Mikko Lindstrom, and bassist Mikko Paananen. This band has been in the headlines as being a satanic band because of the meaning of “Him” originally the bands name was “His Infernal Majesty”, but because of the false accusations they shortened their name to just HIM. Singer Ville Valo says that the band originally started out being sort of a Black Sabbath tribute band. If you are one of those people that is reading about this band for the first time or only heard a couple of their songs and you still don’t know how exactly what genre the band belongs in, the answer to that question is very simple. HIM describes their music as love metal. Fans and other critics put a few different labels on the bands style of music which include hard rock, gothic rock, and even early heavy metal or gothic metal. Along with the bands unique name they also have a unique logo that is strictly trademarked with them and that is the famous Heartagram. The best way to describe this symbol is to say that it is half heart and half inverted pentagram. What does that mean exactly you ask? Well to be more frank, the heart stands for love (obviously), and the inverted pentagram stands for hate, hence love & hate which is pretty romantic and creative at the same time. The symbol was in fact created by no other than Ville Valo and he happened to design it on his 20th birthday. He has also stated about the Heartagram that it stands for HIM as a united band, as an entity, and for love metal. By the words that Ville uses he sounds like an extremely emotional person that has an equal amount of love and hate as should most human beings. I love this band because of the eccentric music and style, and because I can relate to the songs in a lot of ways. The albums released to date are ones that I urge people to check out or listen to. If you like metal mixed with a Sabbath / Metallica / modern rock, then you will enjoy HIM. Listen to the music you might actually find yourself one day.
