How to Draw Eye of Horus, Eye of Horus
1
You are basically drawing an eye so some of the same eye drawing rules apply. Start with an eye guide like so, and proceed to the next step.
2
Begin sketching out the actual shape of the eye and notice how there is some straight edges and angles. The eye is very long or wide so be sure to make your eye the same.
3
Finish drawing out the eye of Horus by making the two design strips like you see here. The one on left is short and stout, and the one on the right is long, curled, and tipped.
4
Make the top lined shape of the eyelid like so, and then you are done. Clean up the drawing from mistakes and guides to prepare it for color.

Description: How many of you are into Ancient Egyptian tales and lore? There are a few things that I find boring and even though I’m not that big on knowing a bunch of Egyptian history, I still know a thing or two about a thing or two. This next tutorial is going to be on a symbol that the Egyptians worshiped and linked a belief to. Today I will make another lesson on "how to draw eye of Horus", step by step. I initially made a tattoo version of this very same symbol, only I called it the eye of Ra. Both Horus and Ra correlate with one another, and I;ll try to explain. Now Horus was and probably is still considered to be a sky god, and this sky god was supposed to be both the sun and moon. In later years, Horus the sky god was then associated with the sun, and later became Ra-Horakhty. This god was now Ra, and it is also known as being Horus of the two horizons. Now that there is Ra as the sun God, Thoth was now considered to be the moon god. It’s basically complicated to put into words; I guess you would just have to read up on the history of Horus. I may have gotten some information wrong, but that’s because I haven’t read or even put myself into the books of Ancient Egyptian history for a very long while. The only thing I can do with one hundred percent certainty is show you "how to draw eye of Horus". I hope you have fun, and remember this would also make a great tattoo. Peace people!
