How to Draw Death, Shinigami, Soul Eater

Since Death's face is very simple to replicate, you should find this lesson pretty simple to follow. Begin with a regular shaped circle and add a line across the inside.

You will now start the drawing process of Death's face already. All you have to do is thicken the head guide you just drew, and then add three spiked shapes for the skull design of his mask. The spike in the center is longest.

Next, make the shapes for the eyes and mouth, color in the mouth, and sketch in some marks on the cheeks, head and spikes.

Begin drawing out the actual outline for the top part of his body by drawing jagged edges to form the shoulders and arms.

Lastly, draw a high topped hat and make the tip lightning bolt like. When you feel confident about your drawing, you can clean up the work.

Here is Death when you are all done. Color in this figure and be on your way to drawing something new.

Description: This character that I am about to submit was a very complicated one to get information on. I don't know if you guys know, but I am not that familiar with the anime 'Soul Eater'. The series has been popular for a while, and every now and then other members will upload their own lessons or artwork on various figures from Soul Eater. When I said that this character was a bit complicated to get info on I really meant it. There is so many different characters that is part of the manga/anime, finding the right one takes some work. I was asked to make a tutorial on "how to draw Death", step by step and in-order for me to submit each tut, I like to say a few words of information or thoughts about each drawing I make. Death is also known as 'Shinigami' which actually means death god. In the series he is known called 'honorable father' by his son Death the Kid. Among the various things I found out about Death is how he is probably the tallest figure from the Soul Eaters series. He is covered in a form fitting black suit that keeps his arms and legs inside. Death's attire is very sharp having many jagged edges which also makes him a unique being. Along with his clothing, his face is hidden behind a mask that is very child-like and has a very simple design. No one knows as of yet what he looks like without his mask Well anyways you will enjoy drawing Death, and I will enjoy uploading another lesson for you guys.
