How to Draw an Eagle Spirit

Step 1.

Let's start out with a head guide for the eagle's face and head.

You will now draw out the lining for the beak, then for the eagle's head and back part of the neck like so.

In step three, sketch out the actual shape and structure for the eagle's hook shaped beak, then add a small hole for the nostril.

We will now draw in the brow, then draw the shape of the eagle's eye. Notice how the brow hoovers over the eye.

Sketch out the entire shape of the eagle's neck. When you do this you will need to make some layers of feathers which look very pointed.

Erase the mistakes and guidelines before you add some soft shading to your eagle to turn it into a spirit.

The line art ends up looking like the drawing you see here. You are now ready to add some color to bring this spirit to life.

Description: I have two more animal spirit tuts to submit today and that includes this one on "how to draw an eagle spirit", step by step. The idea to make lessons based on animal spirits actually came from the movie 'Brother Bear'. My sister watched both one and two and while she was watching the movie I knew I would get hooked on part one, but since I have never seen Brother Bear 2, I didn't think it was going to be any good, but surprisingly it was. Anyways, drawing an eagle spirit will be fun for all you bird lovers out there. I see that the wolf spirit tut made it to the top 50, so I'm assuming this lesson may do just the same.
