Step 1.

Start with a simple shape that is very much like a thimble.

Next, draw the rim of the hat which should be flat and wide.

Lastly, draw the band along with the buckle in the center of the hat right at the base. Erase the mistakes if you made any.

Here is your pilgrim hat all ready to be placed on a pilgrims head. Color it in before you call it done.

There is so many different things that folks would like to learn how to draw but because they are new to drawing, they don't know where to start, or have an idea as to what something should look like. My interpretation and imagination is different from anyone else out there, which is why my drawing style and ideas are my own. You can see from the various artists that submit great works of art and lessons that all of us have a different way to drawing. of course there are some basic rules of art which all artists should know and follow, but let's not get into that now. Thanksgiving is the 22nd here in the United States. I know Canada has their holiday earlier than us, but whatever. This pilgrim hat should appeal to those of you that like drawing Thanksgiving stuff. Yes even Autumn leaves are associated with gobble gobble day. This is a very simple tut, so I know most of you will breeze through it with ease. Have fun, and I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.
