Summer Girl Drawing Tutorial

Begin by drawing the head, torso and body guidelines. Add the facial guidelines too.

Define the shape of the Summer girl's face and then draw her neck. Add the collar bone detailing and proceed to step three.

Up next, draw the large Summer style sun hat and be sure there is a band around the base of the head piece.

Fill under the hat with some long wavy locks and be sure that they are thick and chunky.

We will now draw the eyebrows and then her pretty simple eyes. When that is done draw the nose and then her lips or mouth.

We can now draw the body. This begins with the shoulders, arms, hands, chest and dress. Sketch in all the detailing to the dress and body and don't forget about the small things like the thin seam lines.

For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw the rest of the Summer dress, I made mine long. Erase the mistakes and guides too.

When you are done the drawing should look like the one you see here. Add some color and your own Summer inspired background.

Since s\Summer is just around the corner, I thought I would do something seasonal. Today we will be learning how to draw a Summer girl, step by step. Summer girls are female who love Summer and are at their best during this bright month. The Summer girl you see here is in a dandelion filled meadow with rolling foothills and bright blue skies with the wispy clouds. The flow of her dress suggests that there is a nice wind blowing and because of this the seedlings from the dandelion's are blowing in the breeze pollinating the fields. Anyways, you can tweak this concept any way you like. I will be back in a bit with more tuts for you all.
