Description: Well Lindsay is uploaded from TDA and now it is time for me to fill another tutorial request on an animated character from the series Fruits Basket. So without further ado let me start this lesson description on “how to draw Tohru Honda", step by step. Tohru is a young girl who is the main character of the animated series by Natsuki Takaya. She is a girl that has an incredible outlook on life especially for someone being so young, an orphan, and who is in high school. Being a teenager is hard enough with all the stresses of school, work, and friends. For Tohru her life is twice as hard because she is an orphan. You see, all this is very new to her, I mean just a little while back she had a loving mother and a pretty decent life. All that changed when her mother Kyoko Honda died in a car accident leaving her to live with her grandfather. Unfortunately her stay at her grandfathers house is short lived due to the fact that his house needs some serious remodeling done. Because of this, Tohru takes it upon herself to take matters into her own hands. She pitches a tent and lives in the woods, and gets a job to support herself. After all the hard work that she has been doing for herself, that too comes to an end when her tent, clothes, her mothers picture and everything else she owns gets buried from a landslide. Before that she stumbled upon a house in the very same property that she had her tent on. That is when she met Yuki Sohma and his cousin Shigure Sohma. When they find out what happened to poor Tohru’s tent they invite her to stay in their house but she has to cook and clean for them in exchange. She excepts the offer and that is the start of the series. She eventually finds out that all thirteen members of the Sohma family are possessed by the animals that are a part of the Chinese Zodiac. The comic is very new to me and I will read it in more depth when I get the time. In the mean time try out this lesson on “how to draw Tohru", step by step”. If you want to read some of the comics, you can go to the main site that makes it possible for you to read them in English just by clicking here. I will be back soon with more drawing fun. Until then peace out and happy drawing kiddies!
