How to Draw Severus Snape

1

Begin with basic shapes and guide lines for the face elements .

2

Outline the hair and the shoulders.

3

Finally sketch the eyes nose and mouth .

4

Now your sketch should look like mine .

5

Begin with the eyes. Slightly define the wrinkles and shade around the eyes. Make the iris and pupil black but leave a little white dot in each eye. Make sure to leave the small dot in the same place for both eyes, otherwise it's gonna look like a ch

6

Make slightly darker shadows in the same places. Don't make the eyebrows too prominent , since he's old , the eyebrows don't need to have a very defined shape .

7

Add the final details to the eyes .

8

The only place the nose needs shadows is on and under the nostril.

9

Make light shadows on the cheeks and hatch the upper lip a bit .

10

Finish the mouth and the shade the chin a little bit darker than the rest of his face .

11

Sketch the hair and make sure it looks straight .Although it's all going to look black at the end, there are some parts which are lighter and will have to be connected somehow .

12

Now make the whole thing darker.

13

Do the same thing for the rest of the hair .

14

Shade the white shirt collar a bit and then make the coat black .

15

Lastly, make a background using graphite powder , or don't .

Description: Hello people. I bet most of you recognize this character from the Harry Potter movie series. One of the most loved characters, however you would not like to have him as a teacher , unless you're some kind of masochist. Anyway, I hope you like this tutorial ,and please don't complain that I made him too old. Alan Rickman wasn't young when he played him . Enjoy !
