How to Draw Realistic Pikachu

Start off with drawing a circle for the head like so, then sketch in the facial guidelines.

You will now begin drawing the structure of Pikachu's head shape and make sure to add the large rabbit style ear.

Draw in the other ear, then add detailing inside the right ear. You will also have to add the marking lines on the ear tips.

Up next, use the facial guidelines to draw in Pikachu's eyes, nose and mouth. You will also need to add the long whiskers and whisker holes.

We will start drawing his body. Start with the chest and then draw the ratty arms and hands. Don't forget to make the lining too hairy.

Continue to work on Pikachu's body. Once the upper torso is drawn, you can draw the thigh and long back leg and foot.

Draw in Pikachu's other foot like so.

Lastly, draw the thick rat tail and add a marking line at the base of the tail. Erase the mistakes then you are done.

Here is the finished drawing of a realistic Pikachu when you are done. Now you can color him in.

Description: Folks have been asking me to make more realistic tutorials on different characters and one of those characters is from Pokemon. Today I will start with showing you "how to draw realistic Pikachu", step by step. As you can see I made this famous Pokemon species in a ratty form. Anyways, I had a lot of fun with creating a realistic version of Pikachu. I must have made so many different concepts on this yellow species over the years, that whenever I create another, I always get surprised with the end results. If there are other realistic versions of Pokemon characters that you would like to see, give a holla and let me know.
