How to Draw Princess Tiana

To start this lesson on Princess Tiana, you will draw her head shape and add the facial guidelines. Next attach a neck line to the torso shape and then draw the long flowing bell shape of her dress as you see here. Lastly add the arm guidelines.

Now sketch out the shape of her face and then use the facial guidelines to add her eye shapes. Next sketch out her lips and nose.

You will basically finish the shape of her head and hair style shape as you see here and then draw in her princess crown. Sketch out her ear and then draw the right side of her neck.

Next start drawing out the shape of her shoulders, arm, and torso the way you see it drawn for you here. You will also draw the lining for the top of Princess Tiana's dress as well.

Draw her necklace and then draw a border for the top of her gown as you see here. Once that is done you will sketch out her right arm and hand that is gripping to her dress and then add some pleated lines around the waist.

For your last drawing step you will sketch in more pleats and then sketch out the ruffle skirt gown under her beautiful dress. You will then start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Description: I am going to shy away from manga for a minute and submit a lesson that I was supposed to put up two days ago. Unfortunately I totally forgot about this character because I was preoccupied with drawing my military tutorials that I was really into, and my manga drawings that I was also really into. I will be showing you “how to draw Princess Tiana" from The Princess and the Frog, step by step. The film is another one of Disney’s creations that will be airing later this year in movie theaters worldwide. The whole story is based around a young lady named Tiana that happens to be a waitress and a restaurant owner. She lives in New Orleans during the days of WWI when jazz and vintage style was in. There is also a prince names Naveen who was transformed into a frog by an evil voodoo magician named Dr. Facilier. Obviously the two pair up and live happily ever after. Once the movie is released, Tiana will join the wall of Disney Princess and become the ninth edition along with Princess Jasmine, Belle, Princess Ariel, Princess Aurora, Princess Snowwhite, Cinderella, Pocahontas, and Mulan. I really want my baby sister to see this movie because if it is anything like the other Disney animation movies, it should be filled with music, laughter, and a happy ending. For now until that day comes, you can teach yourself “how to draw Princess Tiana" from the Princess and the Frog, step by step. Peace out peeps and have fun drawing!
