Step 1.

Start with a circle for the head guide then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Step 2.

Slowly sketch out the shape of her face which is sort of wider along the sides.

Step 3.

Using the facial guidelines, draw out the almond shaped eyes followed by her nose and smile or mouth.

Step 4.

Draw and color in the eyebrows, then draw out the eyes. Sketch in some blush marks on her cheeks, then add some teeth and a bottom lip. Don't forget her lashes.

Step 5.

You will now complete the head and face by sketching out her very puffy or frizzy style hair. The ends should be serrated, and the hair itself should be detailed with some strand lines. Define the root or part down the center of the head.

Step 6.

For your last drawing step all you have to do is draw in the rest of her torso starting with the shoulders and arms. When that is done draw the primitive clothing which is a string tied around her neck that holds up her cave woman dress. Add some det

Step 7.

Here is Eep when you are all done. Using the color tones in the finished colored image to add some life to your character from The Croods.

Description: For the next few lessons I will be uploading some characters from a new Dreamworks movie that will be hitting theaters in March 2013. The movie is called 'The Croods', and it's based on a caveman tribe. The first tut to go up is "how to draw Eep", step by step. Eep is the daughter to Grug and Ugga, and she is what you call a free spirit. She loves the idea to seek out new things and to go on these adventures to fill her passion and desire. Unfortunately that is all I can tell you about her character because since the movie is not even close to being out yet, there is nothing more I can say. She does however have that excited stare to her eyes in this lesson which kind of tells you her personality. The Croods should be a different take on cavemen since I haven't seen any animated movies based on this type of premise before. Stick around there is more on the way. Peace out people and enjoy drawing Eep.
