How to Draw Ugga, Ugga From the Croods

Start with a circle for the head, then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Begin sketching out the shape of her face which looks like a heart or strawberry. Next, draw in her combed back hairline before you leave this step.

You will now sketch out the features of her face. Start with the eyebrows, then draw out her eyes. When that is done you can thicken the eyelid line like so, then sketch in some detailing to the top of her lids. Draw her nose and mouth, then proceed

All you have to do here is sketch in the detailing to her hair that is combed back. Since these are cavemen, their hair is naturally coarse.

Continue working on the hair until all the chunks are drawn in. Ugga's hair is short and spiked. Sketch in the texture detailing to the hair, then draw in the band that holds it all in place.

All that needs to be done here is the shape of her neck, and the addition of the shoulders to form her torso.

Draw in her clothing which is a very primitive animal skin dress. Only one strap is drawn for the shoulder.

Lastly, draw in the detailing stripes which will add texture and definition. Erase the mistakes and guides you made along the way.

Here is Ugga when you are all done. Now just simply color her in.

Description: Meet Ugga. She is the wife of Grug, and she is also Eep's mother. This tutorial will show you "how to draw Ugga", step by step. Ugga is going to be voiced by Catherine Keener who is the woman that played Sally Jackson which is Percy Jackson's mother in ' Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief'. In The Croods her role is a tough one because Ugga has the difficult job to keeping her family safe as they embark on a dangerous journey to find a new place to call home. Her personality is a bit different then Grug's because she has more of an open mind. Her character creation is awesome because she looks like a cross between a cave woman, and a Greek civilian. I know you folks don't think anything of these lessons now on the characters from The Croods, but you will next year. For now have fun drawing Ugga, and I will be back with more lessons for you all.
