How to Draw Day of the Dead Face
2
You will use guide to sketch out the girl's face, then draw in the hairline which falls on the sides of the face.
3
Before we move forward with the hair, draw the back neck lining and then add some detailing to her neck which are the neck bones.
4
Now this girl's hair is pulled to one side, and then sketch in a thick hair chunk layer that is her bangs also pulled or combed to one side. Add some detailing to the hair, and then add some texture bumps on the head for texture and thickness.
5
You will now draw more of her long, wavy flowing hair. It's almost in an action pose so when you do this add a pretty full bloom rose.
7
We will now draw in the makeup art on her face starting with the large circles for the eyes. When that is done draw the nose, and then draw in the long line that streams across the face for the skeletal style mouth.
8
Use the facial guidelines to draw out her eyes. Thick lid lining will make the eyes pop. Add some lashes and then pupil shapes.
10
You will now draw in the facial decorations. Here is where you can be really creative because you can choose any design you like. You can also opt out and just draw the pace painting design I made. I included jewels, webs, and soft swirl lines. Erase

Description: This is the highlight of all my lessons that I uploaded today. It's on a beautiful face that is painted and decorated to honor the celebration of the Mexican holiday 'Day of the Dead'. This holiday comes around every year starting October 31st, and ends on November 1st. This tutorial will show you "how to draw a Day of the Dead" painted face. I wanted to make the colors of the rose red as well as the highlights to her hair, face and lips. Instead I went outside the box and added a nice purplish hue to these areas. I really love how she came out. It's soft, clean and full of art. I think a lot of girls will like this lesson as well as a lot of boys and of course the folks that celebrate Day of the Dead.
