Description: Hello once again fellow artist and how is everyone doing on this fine day? Well as you may all know I am back with another tutorial submission and this time it will be on a cool character. Today I will be showing you "how to draw Corpse Bride". This move was so cool because it has a hard core Gothic edge to it which makes it wicked. I love all the stories that Tim Burton creates because some of the best characters are made from his dark mind like Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward from Edward Scissorhands and many more awesome movies. Corpse Bride is about a young man named Victor Van Dort that is being forced into an arranged marriage to Victoria Everglot. At first he is nervous and scared about getting married to a woman he doesn't know. But as soon as he meets her she turns out to be the girl of his dreams. One day he is walking threw the woods on a cold winter night to practice his vows before the big day. As he places the ring on what he thinks is a tree branch for a finger, he wakes up a bride that has been dead for years. The “corps bride” is awaken because she was proposed to once again and because she was a lost soul that had unfinished business. Her name is Emily and she was once married before she died. But what she didn't know is that she would once again run into the man that made her dreams come true and her worst dream a reality. Emily has a sweet personality and she gets along well with Victor. She usually has a maggot that lives in her head that she sometimes confides in and all the local dead souls hang out at the ghost village tavern. I like the movie I think that they did a good job with the “Corpse Bride” because all the characters where well written and created. I chose to do Emily because even though she is dead, she is still very pretty, sweet, kind and talented. She chooses to give up the fact that she wants to be married to Victor because Emily knows that he will never lover her and she can't imagine him dead just to keep her happy. The story ends with Victor and Victoria living happily ever after, and Emily the “Corpse Bride” can finally rest in peace because the man that killed her (which was the man that she married) was dead himself and her unfinished business was now put to an end. I hope you like this tutorial, I have more drawing fun on the way so stay tuned I will be back in a bit.
