1

Start with drawing the lower half of chibi Gary's body which sort of looks like a squiggly mess on the ground. Notice that there is a smile though.

2

Next, draw two long shafts for Gary's eyes, then the blown up looking eyeballs. Each eye should be drawn as one piece with the shaft.

3

Draw in the simple shell on his back which can easily be done just by starting off with a circle then adding a simple swirl inside.

4

Line out Gary's eyes like so, then start erasing the mistakes to clean up the drawing.

5

Obviously you have to draw in the actual pupils, I seem to have forgotten to do that. But this is how he should look when your done, but yours will probably look better seeing how I don't have pupils.

Description: So here is my version of chibi Gary from Spongebob Squarepants. I know you must be thinking why did I make such a tut? Well, if you must know, I have received so many requests for me to make a tutorial on "how to draw chibi Gary", step by step, and for a while I didn't make the lesson because I thought that turning Gary into a chibi would look just horrible. Well to my surprise I was wrong. As I started drawing chibi Gary he started looking more and more delightful for a snail. I mean Gary is already adorable, but when drawn as a chibi, there is no way you can deny the cuteness of this sea dwelling snail. I am so happy with how he came out, and I just know that others will love this submission on drawing chibi Gary too. There is more to come Dragoarters so stay tuned in, and keep those pencils at hand.
