How to Draw Butters
1
Okay very simple, you will start by drawing a large circle for his head and then add the facial guidelines.
2
Thicken the shape you just drew to sketch out Butters' actual head structure, and then draw a messy star like shape for his hairstyle that sits on top of his head.
3
Using the facial guidelines you will begin drawing out the oval shapes to for his eyes, and then draw in the mouth, a row of top teeth, and color inside of the mouth as well as his pupils. Before you leave this step make sure to add his eyebrows.
4
It's time that you draw out Butters' body by sketching his jacket, sleeves, and round hands with small thumbs.
5
To finish Butter's off all you have to do is draw in his legs and then draw the feet. Clean up the drawing to prepare your sketch for color.

Description: Welcome back to another drawing tutorial on DragoArt.com. I will be your teacher today Dragon_Queen with a fun and exciting animated character from Comedy Central. With this next drawing tutorial I will show you how top draw Butters from South Park step by step. Anyone who watches the show knows that Butters is a naive boy that hangs out with Cartman, Stan, Kenny, and Kyle. His real name is Leopold Stotch but his friends call him “Butters” because of his last name “Stotch” which is short for butterscotch. He is the character that has the very dainty childish voice; he wears aqua colored clothes, and has a thick patch of blond hair on top of his head. Butters is described as having a friendly personality but he is also very gullible as well because he believes whatever is told to him from the other boys which leaves him a target for abuse. The fact that Butters gives in to peer pressure very easily, makes him an easy target to be used as a “guinea pig”. He is what you call a genuinely nice kid that is eager to please the rest of his friends just to feel like he is part of the crowd. There is an episode where butters was sent to a camp like sanctuary because his parents thought that he needed to be cleansed from his confusion because they thought that he was gay. There is a scene in that episode where he is standing on a bridge with a camp mate getting ready to snuff it, and he makes a statement about himself and how he feels he says; “I am sick and tired of everyone telling me I'm confused! I wasn't confused until people started telling me I was. I'm not confused: My name's Butters. I'm eight years old, blood type O, and I'm bi-curious. After that he decided that he really was okay and that he didn’t need any help after all. This tutorial will show you how to draw Butters from South Park step by step. I know you will find this lesson very easy to tackle. SO sit back and give it a try. You’ll be glad you did!
