How to Draw an Audi

Step 1.


In this first step you will be drawing out the guidelines so you will be able to line up the shape of the Audi more easily. First draw four horizontal lines and four vertical lines as shown above.

Step 2.


Now using the guidelines that you just drew draw out the shape of the car as you see it here. It is more like a boxed shape at first until you get down to the specifics. When you draw out the shape of the Audi include the rounded lines for the two ti   

Step 3.


In this next step you will be taking it slow by drawing the large shapes for the grate, and headlight casings as shown. Next draw out the plastic lining shapes on the left hand side where the head light sits. draw the shape of the fender and tires as   

Step 4.


This is where you will be drawing out the thick lining in the front grate and the plastic lining along the right head light housing unit. Draw out the shape of the head light and then sketch out the shape and detail the rims as you see them here. Nex

This is what your Audi R8 should look like when you are completely done. All that is left to do is color her in any color you want. That will do it for this tutorial on how to draw an Audi R8.

Description: In this tutorial I decided to do another car I absolutely admire, and that is the Audi. But this is the newer model called the Audi R8, so this means that you will learn how to draw this car step by step. I used a picture from Car and Driver magazine as a reference tool, and let me tell you it was not that hard at all, but that doesn’t mean that if was to do a drawing of the car on a different angle it would be easier because it would probably be a lot harder than it was. Let’s get back to talking about the Audi. This particular brand name car is from the Volkswagen Group as they are there parent company. The Audi R8 has been in production since 2007 and there are close to 4,300 of them that have been built so far. The company that actually manufactures Audi is Quattro Gmbh and all Audi cars are assembled in Neckarsulm Germany. The R8 is a sports car and is only a 2 door coupe model. It has a mid engine, all wheel drive layout with a 4.2 L V8 FSI motor. They also come in 6.0L V12 size as well. This particular model is based on the Lamborghini Gallardo which I also have a tutorial on if you would like to check that out too. The transmission comes in as a 6 speed manual with a ticket price of around $110,000. The Audi R8 can go 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds and 0-100 mph in 10.1 seconds. This trendy looking sports car can travel ¼ mile in under 13 seconds at a top speed of 113 mph. This car also handles with super sweet preciseness. The R8 steers just where your hands tell it to, and it stops with the exciting abruptness common among Audis. Originally the R8 comes with an all black side panels which house air scoops to cool the engine off. I particularly didn’t like how the black siding made the car look toyish so I did what any Audi dealer would do for an extra $1,000, matched the panels to the car color. That’s right; you can pay an extra grand if you too want the car to remain all one color. This machine has a luxurious sporty feel just by sight in a magazine, can you image how the car must look in person and how it must feel to get behind the wheel and drive off the lot in this beauty. Hey, I have an idea if you have a license and you want to drive off the dealers lot in an R8, just dress real nice and say you are interested in purchasing the vehicle but would like to test drive it first.
