Step 2.
Next you will start drawing out the actual shape and frame of the Lotus starting with the hood and working your way down to the front fender and side panel shape of the car. Once that is done start drawing out the shape of the front windshield as wel
l as the circles for the tires.

Step 3.
In this next step you will now start drawing out the left side of the front and side fender shape. Draw out the wheel well and then detail the windshield. You will then start drawing out the back seat and the driver side mirror. You will then draw ou
t the indent lining on the door and then the top of the trunk and back wheel well.

Step 4.
Now what you will do here is draw out the windshield frame in the front and the shape of the frame in the back that connects to the trunk. Since it is a convertible there is no roof. You will then start sketching out the back sport fin and then move
to the front and draw out the circle shapes for the headlights as seen here.

Step 5.
This is your last drawing step and what you will do here is finish the detailing lines on the hood and for the front grill. Detail the left headlight and then draw out the rims and then color in the background of the wheels spoke. You will draw out t
he back seats and then start erasing all the guidelines that you drew in step one.

When you are done this is what your Lotus should look like when you are done. All that is left to do now is color it in. I hope you liked this tutorial on how to draw a convertable Lotus Elise car step by step.

Description:
I hope you all liked the first drawing lesson that I submitted on the Cadillac Escalade, it was really awesome. In this next tutorial I will be showing you "
how to draw a Lotus
" Elise. Now I am not going to blow smoke up your way so I will tell you the truth, I am not familiar with this car at all. I mean, donβt get me wrong I have heard about the Lotus, but never really read any big article on them. This tutorial was done out of request and when a request is made on something that I am not familiar with, I have to go and research what I am about to draw and that happens a lot. I guess you could say that my mind is one giant sponge that soaks up all kinds of information whether I like it or not. Now I will fill you in with some information that I learned about the Lotus just to give you an idea what type of sports car the Elise is. For one, if you wanted to by this particular car you better make sure you have at least $50,000 dollars in your pocket and that is just for the standard edition. The Lotus Elise was designed with a lightweight body structure which is why this car handles and drives so much like a race car. It has a 1.8 liter 189 horse powered engine with a mid-mounted 4-cylinder that has a VVTL-I (variable valve timing lift intelligence). Now because this car is just a four cylinder, the gas tank only holds ten gallons of fuel when full. The Lotus Elise goes 0-60 in 4 seconds. That's about it. It's time I shut up, and let you guys learn "
how to draw Lotus Elise
". I really like how the car looks, and how it came out. The coloring was done in a cartoony way so that you can get a good idea on how to color the car in. I used a bumblebee yellow, but you can use any shade you want. I will be back with more drawing fun so stick around on this Thanksgiving Day, even if you are stuffed like a turkey.
