How to Draw a Weeping Angel From Doctor Who

1

Let's begin shall we? Good. Start with making the guide for the head and torso like so. You will then sketch in the facial guidelines followed by the hand guides.

2

Next, sketch out the shape of the angel's face like so, then draw in the rest of the head shape. You will then draw in the hair which are in the form of curls.

3

Using the facial guidelines, draw the shapes of each eye which should be beady, then draw or sketch out the shape of the nose and snarling mouth. Fill that mouth with a bunch of sharp teeth. Sketch in the highly defined cheeks, then draw the definiti

4

Draw in the rest of the hair and then draw the band around the base of the bun.

5

Draw the neck shape, then sketch out the shoulders and some of the arms. You will also add detailing to the front part of the neck.

6

Start this step by sketching out the hands. As you can see they are in an eagle like pose with sharp nails and all. Add the detailing on the hands before you move to step seven.

7

You are almost done. Draw the other hand, then add the same amount of detailing to the left hand like you did in the right.

8

Last, sketch the clothing and the wings for the weeping angel. You should consider taking time to draw the wrinkles evenly and take your time. I will upload the fixed step in a bit because this is obviously the wrong one. Draw out the angel's wings t

9

When you are all done with the drawing, you should end up with a sketch that looks like the one you see here. Color in this Weeping Angel from Doctor Who when everything is completed.

Description: Remember that lesson I submitted recently on the weeping angel? Well if you read the comments it was suggested that I make a tutorial on "how to draw a weeping angel" from Doctor Who. Well, here it is. This creepy looking stone style angel stature was a little tricky to replicate because the whole time drawing her all I was thinking about was Calibos from Clash of the Titans (the 1981 version). Even though he was a brutal disgusting figure in the movie, he was still very cool and interesting looking. That is what a weeping Angel from Doctor Who looks like. The sharp small fanged teeth, evil looking face and pointed nail claws really plays a number on ones head. These Weeping Angels in Doctor Who are actually an ancient alien race. If you are a DW fan you should know what I'm talking about. Have fun drawing Weeping Angels, and I will prepare my next lesson.
