Description: This next lesson is going to be on how to draw a voodoo doll step by step. This second tutorial for the day is going to show you a very easy way to draw a voodoo doll in a very cute and emo like fashion so that we can all relate to the cuteness. I wanted to emphasis on the most common part of a voodoo doll that gets pinned almost all the time, the heart. Now here is some information about how and where this ritual was created. Voodoo originated in Africa and it is a known common religion. Eventually this religion was brought to Haiti by slaves and as of today it is still practiced and believed in. The voodoo religion believe it or not is positive and not at all evil or used out of vendetta or spite. Voodoo is performed on people’s lives to improve morality, safety, financial focus, health, and most of all, relationships and love. The type of voodoo that we are all familiar with is the type that is feed to us with movies and media. The fact is Haitians don’t even use voodoo dolls, the only time these dolls were mentioned of being used was back in the 1900’s in New Orleans. Those people that practiced voodoo with black magic usually cast hexes on people for either good, bad evil, or to grant luck on another individual. The use of pins being pricked to certain areas of the doll was used to “pin” point the area that someone wanted to affect the most. All in all voodoo is a religion believed by some, known by many, and practiced by few. This tutorial will show you how to draw a voodoo doll step by step. I will be back once again with more drawing tutorials in a bit so stay tuned.
