Description: Well so far I have shown you how to draw a black rose, an angel and a cheetah. This next tutorial that I am about to submit is in response to a request that a user wanted me to do. So for my forth tutorial I will be showing you how to draw a sperm whale step by step. The sperm whale is an animal that has many different interesting facts. The first fact about the sperm whale is that it is the largest of all toothed whales and is the largest living toothed animal in the world. Also the sperm whale has a very large sized brain. In fact the brain is so large, it weighs nearly twenty pounds and because of that it is considered the largest brain out of any animal in existence. Their heads are big and boxy and they have an āSā shaped blow hole that is twenty inches in length. Most people believe that a whales blow hole is directly in the middle of it's head and that is not the case at all. The sperm whale has a blow hole that sits off to the left side of the head toward the front. Like other whales, sperm whale have thick layers of blubber that are four to twelve inches thick. What was the name of a popular whale in one of the worlds most read books? If you have answered Moby Dick you are right. Did you know that Moby Dick was a sperm whale as well? It's true the fictional tale about a whale that terrorized the waters for sailors was in fact a sperm whale. Another popular sperm whale was Monstro from the children's story Pinocchio. These humongous whales reach up to sixty feet long and they weigh nearly fifty five tons. The color of the whale is usually dark gray or blackish and their skin texture feels like that of prunes. These whales got their name because of the spermaceti oil or wax that it produces in the spermaceti organ which is located in its head. This is truly a remarkable specimen of an animal and I will show you how to draw a sperm whale step by step. All you have to do is read the steps and follow the directions. I will be back in a bit with one more lesson for you all to learn from. So stick around and tackle this tutorial or try something else on the site.
