Description: This next tutorial is going to be on an animal that I absolutely love and have much respect for. They are agile and stealthily, and they are also very beautiful creatures. So for my next lesson I will show you "how to draw a cheetah", step by step. As many of you may or may not know, the cheetah is the worlds fastest land animal alive today. The cheetah's remarkable speed is faster than most cars. Their speed is absolutely remarkable, they can go from zero to sixty in three seconds flat. They only use their speed when in pursuit of prey because their heart rate beats extra fast and their body temperature rises almost instantly. When a cheetah finds the right time, he will burst out in a sprint and attempt to knock down its meal. Now because the chase takes up a tremendous amount of energy from this fast feline, the total chase only last for about a minute. If the hunt goes well, the cheetah will takes it's catch and drag it to a nice shady area until his heart rate comes down. Once he is calm and his breathing is back to normal, the cat will start feasting on it's kill. Did you know that the cheetah only needs to drink every three to four days at a time? So far you know how fast the cheetah can run and you also know that these animals take a risk every time they hunt. Now that we know those two main factors about this savannah animal, lets talk more about what their personality is like. For one these big cats are really not aggressive at all. In fact they don't even have large teeth or canines that some believe they have. They are very quite and nimble and they do well coexisting with lands owned by farmers. The cheetah is an animal that lurks during the day and sleeps most of the night. They don't bother wasting their precious energy on running after humans and they don't even chase off other predators that steal their prey. If you think about it these animals just want to be left alone. They only reach weights up to one hundred fifty pounds which is the same weight as some dog breeds. Their diet mainly consist of antelopes, hares and even sometimes the occasional strangler from herds. I love this big cat and I know that you will enjoy this tutorial on how to draw a cheetah step by step. It took me over four hours just to get him sketched out and than another hour to color him in and add all the detailing with the colors. Well I will be back later with more drawing fun, but in the mean time try this one out and see how you do.
