How to Draw a Falling Angel

1

Here you will start with drawing the guidelines to form the angel's body. Add a circle for the head then move to step two.

2

Next, begin using the arm guide to draw in the shape of the arm which is reaching for the sky. The hand is in a relaxed pose.

3

Next up, sketch in the long hair that is flowing upward because the angel is falling down.

4

You will now draw the back of the neck, then sketch in the large, long ruffled angel wing which is cradling the body as the angle falls.

5

Draw in the other wing like so, and when you do this make sure that it is soft looking instead of harsh.

6

Add detailing to the hair and back, then sketch in the chest.

7

You can now draw the outline for the butt, thigh and leg then draw in the small foot.

8

For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw the other leg and foot, make sure to add toes, then you can erase the mistakes and guides.

9

Here is the line art now that you are done. Now you can color in your fallen angel to finish the whole concept off.

Description: By request, here is the lesson that a certain somebody has been asking for. Up next we will learn "how to draw a falling angel", step by step. Instead of doing something that people most likely see around the web, this fallen angel is actually falling from the heavens. When I think of an angel falling from God's kingdom, I imagine them loosing their balance, and their innocence. Because their innocence is gone, the white color of their hair and wings turn black as they fall through the barrier of heaven and earth. No face, no expression, just the fallen image of an angel from heaven. I hope you enjoy this tut folks, it is as simple as it gets.
